"When, God When?"
I
am losing patience...perhaps I never really had any to start with.
Can I share with you ladies something? I really wanted
to be IN my house NOW!!!! I am not and I am having a difficult
time with this "waiting on the Lord" concept!!!
Have I not been waiting
for over four years and it has been nine months since we broke
ground? .Jeff is soooo different...He made a comment the other day
that went something like this..."You know, Kim, It seems like
yesterday that we started the footers on the house.....Does it seem
like things have really moved quickly?
Without hesitation I
replied "It does not seem like yesterday..it has been
forever!!! I don't even know what a footer is and besides we
watch a TV show where a guy builds an entire house in one week!!!
Plus, the family is sent on some exotic vacation,etc etc."
Then, God decided to
talk to me or maybe I just started listening a little better.
He reminded me that I had been saying I was content in our temporary
abode....but was I really?
My contentment needs to be based on my relationship with the Father. He said He would provide all of my needs, and you know what? He has!!! He will also continue to do so....
I am really thankful for
the home we have been given for the last 4 years and I pray that I
will remain content as God places us in our new home.....Thank you
Jesus for loving me when I have been impatient!
