"New Beginnings"
What a year!!! I've decided to entitle my devotionals "Jeff's Journey's" because I believe we are constantly on a journey. I also believe that there is no such thing as an "ending", but every ending is simply the start of a new beginning. So, how about we start in Revelation 22: 17,20 & 21? "The Spirit and the Bride say, Come. Let each one that hears them say "Come". Let the thirsty come - anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink the water of life without charge. He who is faithful witness to all these things says "Yes, I am coming soon". Amen! Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord be with you all." The last twelve months have been a journey for Kim and I. We endured the aftermath of three hurricanes that crossed over our town the prior summer. We endured a record setting amount of storms in 2005. God has helped us journey into a new home. (I better clarify that or my builder will have issue with me) - a new Tabernacle, NOT just a home! We look forward to moving in by the first quarter of 2006. Our clients have tripled from the year before. We now have a website and have completed our first series of DVD's entitled "The Relationship Series" and I am preparing our second series on "Communication". I was able to partner with BigBiz Studios and their office has blessed Kim and I enormously in that venture although I have probably caused them "terror" with my unending question which usually ends with "when?". Again, the term unending, and the word end really just show me a new beginning. As we enter our third year ministry, we believe that God's favor is upon our office. What I find most interesting about the last verse of the Bible is this.... the word GRACE... WOW! Do I love that word! And, just knowing that the Grace of the Lord is with me is affirmation of a new beginning. Our lives are no doubt just as busy as your lives are, but as you begin the preparations for the Christmas season, remember the Reason for the season. God became man... he cried, he ate, (well you know)... His birth was an ending to what God had been doing (anyone ever wonder what He was doing before He decided to come to earth as a baby?) and a beginning to our salvation. Scriptures proclaim we need to renew our relationship with Him on a daily basis. That newness and freshness is our inspiration to be as close to Jesus as possible. Find the time to praise and honor and worship the King of Kings. Jeff
